Jomar lost his father when he was just seven years old. His mother, a housewife, then started working at a canning company. Because of lack, the family sometimes had to go for days without eating and Jomar eventually had to stop studying after high school.

When our local center in General Santos City opened in 2009, he became one of our first scholars there. Today, he has a catering business and a restaurant with his wife. He also opened a cafe in 2021 with his fellow Real LIFE alumnus.
