🚨 Official Statement 🚨

We have recently discovered a serious and alarming incident involving the unauthorized use and forgery of one of our partner’s signature on a fictitious Independent Auditor’s Report, issued without our partner’s knowledge or consent.

Let us be absolutely clear:

👉 The said report was NOT issued, reviewed, or authorized by our firm or any of our partners.

This act constitutes fraud, professional misconduct, and a clear violation of the law. It undermines not only the integrity of our firm but also the trust placed in the accounting and auditing profession.

We strongly condemn this illegal act.

Our firm is currently conducting a full investigation and is taking all necessary legal actions against the individual(s) involved. We will pursue this matter to the fullest extent of the law to protect the public, uphold professional standards, and preserve the integrity of our practice.

We urge the public, clients, and stakeholders to:
✔️ Verify the authenticity of audit reports issued under our name
✔️ Report any fictitious or questionable documents immediately

Integrity, accountability, and professionalism are the foundations of our work—and we will not tolerate any act that compromises these principles.

For verification or concerns, please contact us through our official channels.

Thank you for your continued trust and vigilance.

"Under the proposal, the Commission seeks to amend Part I, Section 1(A) of the Rule 68 of Republic Act No. 8799, or the Securities and Regulation Code (SRC), to exempt both stock and nonstock corporations with total assets or liabilities not exceeding P3 million from submitting audited financial statements.
At present, only stock and nonstock corporations with total assets or liabilities less than P600,000 are exempted from mandatory audit. The SEC targets to apply the higher P3 million threshold to financial statements covering fiscal years ending on or after December 31, 2025."

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has secured approval from the Department of Finance (DOF) to simplify the reportorial requirements of micro enterprises by allowing them to submit certified, instead of audited, financial statements.

Accordingly, the Commission on December 9 issued for public comment the proposed Amendments to the Application and Definition of Terms under the Revised SRC Rule 68 in Relation to the Adjustment of the Audit Threshold.

Under the proposal, the Commission seeks to amend Part I, Section 1(A) of the Rule 68 of Republic Act No.

The SEC targets to apply the higher P3 million threshold to financial statements covering fiscal years ending on or after December 31, 2025.

In lieu of audited financial statements, a corporation within the audit threshold will be allowed to submit financial statements certified under oath by both the president and treasurer or chief financial officer, as duly authorized by the board of directors.

"The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza signed on Friday, December 19, 2025, Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 48-2025, institutionalizing a streamlined process for availing of Certificates of Tax Exemption by developers of socialized and economic housing projects.
This order gives full effect to Republic Act (RA) No. 7279, as amended by RA No. 10884, and Executive Order No. 226, by significantly reducing the documentary requirements for tax exemption. Under this new RMO, a Socialized Housing Certification issued by the appropriate housing authority, attached to a letter-request in accordance with existing BIR rules, shall be sufficient to support an application for a Certificate of Tax Exemption."
