BOOKKEEPING: Should I do it or hire someone?
My client said, " I do my own bookkeeping and I guess that is not a good job for me."
Business owners wear multiple hats. You want to be in control, you want to learn to make the most of the resources you have.
However, you should make time to step back and assess whether or not you do your own bookkeeping.
Ask these questions:
Am I capable of recording the transactions properly?
Do I have experience in bookkeeping?
Do I understand what is inside the financial statements? Do I know Balance sheet items or Income statement?
Consider TIME and MONEY.
Am I the best person to do this?
Do I still have time to do my own bookkeeping or focus my time in growing my business?
Evaluate yourself and consider the time you lose and the costs that will incur in doing your own bookkeeping.
Remember: You are a business owner. Spend your time wisely in growing your business.
