Lessons from a 16-year-old life cut short.

Isa sa mga relative na dito na rin nakatira na sa Cebu, yung anak niya na-diagnose ng aggressive cancer at 16 years old.
Wala pang 1 year, nawala na siya.

Nagsimula lang sa simpleng pagkakabugbog sa mata habang naglalaro ang kapitbahay ng badminton. Akala nila ordinary bruise lang.

Inalagaan sa bahay, pinahinga, nilagyan ng warm compress para mawala ang pamamaga.

Pero minsan, hindi lahat ng injury simple lang.

Eventually, nagpa-check na rin siya at nagpagamot.

Ginawa ng family ang lahat. Pero sobrang aggressive ng behavior ng cancer — mabilis itong kumalat. Kahit may treatment, hindi na kinaya ng katawan niya.

Here are some important reminders we learned the hard way:

🔹 Hindi lahat ng pasa harmless.
Kapag may unusual na pamamaga, pain, or hindi gumagaling after ilang days or weeks, mas better na ipa-check agad sa doctor.

🔹 Early detection really matters.
The earlier ma-detect ang problem, mas mataas ang chance na maagapan.

🔹 Some illnesses are very aggressive.
May mga sakit na kahit gamutin, mabilis ang progression. Kaya timing is very important.

🔹 Health is unpredictable.
Hindi dahil bata pa, safe na sa serious illness.

Hindi ito post para manakot.

Reminder lang ito to value our health, listen to our body, and act early.

Sometimes, awareness and timely action can make a big difference. 💙
