I was deeply moved by Coco Martin’s simple yet powerful reminder when he said, “Huwag mong ilagay lahat ng pera mo sa bangko. I-enjoy mo rin. Kasi ’pag namatay ka, hindi mo madadala ’yan.”

Money was never meant to be stored away out of fear, nor treated as the ultimate symbol of safety. It exists to be used—not displayed. It supports life, but it should never replace living.

Of course, saving matters.
Being practical matters.
Taking responsibility matters.

But joy should not be delayed as if time is promised.

There is value in discipline, yes—but there is also wisdom in allowing yourself to enjoy, to make memories, to give, and to experience life fully.

When everything is said and done, the money you earned will remain behind. What stays with you are the moments you chose to live—measured not by figures, but by meaning.

Perhaps true wealth lies in knowing when to be careful, and when to simply let yourself live.
