The client is a 47 year old businessman, active and with a healthy lifestyle.
He was only depositing 700K yearly for 7 years (A total of 4.9M Premium Paid) and it only took less than 1 month for the cheque to be released to his family.
One thing I have learned about businessmen is they know how to protect their assets as much as they know how to earn them.

Tumataas ang monthly charges for Regular-Pay VUL over time dahil sa insurance charge related to mortality cost.
(Mortality cost is based on age, gender, smoking habits and risk class of the insured.) Kasali din sa insurance charge ang premium na binabayad for the riders.

Bakit tumataas ang insurance charge?

The risk of death becomes higher as we get old, therefore, the higher the risk the higher the insurance charge.

Why is life insurance possible?

Because it is a risk-sharing business. Kinukuha yung pambayad sa risk dun sa contribution ng kada isang insured para sa kapalit na malaking pera na binili mo for your family.

Bakit ka magpapa-insure?

Dahil masmaliit ang ilalabas mong pera compared dun sa masmalaking pera na binili mo sa insurance company na iaabot nila sa maiiwanan mo pambayad sa mga gastos na iiwan mo.

Bakit may premium charge and monthly charges?

Eto ang bumili nung malaking perang iiwan sa pamilya na tinatawag na death benefit.

Yung pera naman na nakikita mo sa fund value ang perang pwede mong withdrawhin pagdating ng panahon for your future goals.

Bakit gugustuhin mo ng VUL?

Dahil meron kang fund value na pwede mong withdrawhin ng buhay ka pa. (Sa term insurance kasi death benefit lang kaya murang-mura siya. Wala siyang living benefit.)

Mas-affordable ang VUL compared to other life insurance plans na may living benefit.

Anong kailangan mong malaman before ka kumuha ng VUL?

-tumataas ang monthly charges over time.
-may risk involved dahil sa investment component kaya ang fund value pwedeng bumaba.
-ang monthly charges ay kinakaltas sa fund value.

One of my personal reasons bakit gusto ko ng VUL?

-hindi kasi agad naglapse ang plan ko nung matagal akong hindi nakakabayad dahil as long as there is enough fund value to pay for the monthly charges, you are insured.

Magpa-explain ka sa financial advisor mo na kaharap ang proposal habang ine-explain niya. Basahin mo din ang proposal para maitanong mo na din ang mga kailangan mo itanong before ka kumuha ng VUL.

*Masmaganda na ang may alam before bumili ng kahit anong insurance, asset or investment.

• You expect to have more liabilities in early 2024. Dadaan ang pasko at bagong taon, maraming gastos para sa regalo, parties, get together, etc.

• The best gift for someone you truly care about is a flow of consistent income. Best gift mo rin para sa sarili mo.

THINGS TO PONDER!!!

1. Not enough knowledge about insurance - Akala kasi ng iba kapag namatay ka saka mo lng ito mpapakinabangan, saka lang makukuha ng beneficiary. NO! HINDI PO. Iba't ibang insurance plan para sa iba't ibang goal at plano mo sa buhay. 🤗

2. Budget - Pang mayaman lang daw ang insurance. NO! HINDI PO. May mga affordable pong life insurance pero naka base padin ito sa age, lifestyle, nature of work at kung smoker or non smoker ka.

3. Fear - to ask, to learn, to trust. Sabagay, mahirap nga naman ipagkatiwala ang long time ipon mo, bka ma-scam ka. NO! HINDI PO. dito kay Sun Life, hindi po kami scammer. Sunlife has been with the PH for about 128 yrs already, never nag sara, never nalugi, never hindi nag bigay ng claims. Even in history, Sun Life is very truthful and generous with their clients.
