The older I get, the less impressed I become by people who look rich. 🤍

Kay eventually, you realize nga dili tanan nga sosyal tan-awon, financially secure.

Some people spend money to look successful.

Others quietly use their money to build freedom, security, and peace of mind.

Magkaiba gyud na.

As you grow older, you start appreciating the person who doesn’t need to prove anything.

Kanang quietly building savings.

Protecting their family.

Preparing for the future.

And making financial decisions that may not look impressive today, but will matter years from now.

Because at the end of the day, looking wealthy and being financially secure are two very different things. 🤍

💙 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 | Assets held by Philippine life insurance companies exceeded ₱2 trillion for the first time in the first half of 2026, highlighting the industry's continued financial expansion despite earlier market challenges.

Total assets rose 8.77% year on year to ₱2.170 trillion as of end-June, from ₱1.995 trillion a year earlier. Invested assets also increased 8.77% to ₱2.100 trillion, while total liabilities climbed 10.15% to P1.881 trillion. Total net worth edged up 0.61% to ₱289.48 billion.

The Insurance Commission said the figures reflect the life insurance sector's stability and resilience, noting that insurers continued to meet their obligations to policyholders and beneficiaries while maintaining steady growth across key financial indicators.

Today, I heard something inside a hospital that reminded me why I do what I do. 🤍

We were at the hospital with Sis Dymaii, waiting for our turn because we had an appointment with a doctor.

You know that feeling when you’re sitting in a hospital waiting area?

People are quiet, but somehow you can feel that everyone is carrying a story.

Someone is waiting for test results.

Someone is waiting for a doctor.

Someone is waiting for good news.

And someone is probably praying that whatever happens next, they will have the strength to face it.

While waiting, naa mi nadunggan nga family nga murag gikan sa gawas. Dayun gisundo sila sa usa ka mama gikan taas, and while waiting, nagkumustahan sila and nag-chika gamay.

Normal ra unta nga conversation.

Until one sentence caught our attention.

“PRU Life UK ilang insurance…”

She mentioned nga i-consult daw niya if covered under Critical Illness ang plan because the diagnosis was a critical illness.

I immediately glanced at Sis Dymaii.

Then I looked at Ate who was talking.

She noticed me looking.

And she smiled.

I smiled back.

Although basin dili kaayo klaro akong smile kay naka-mask ko. 🥹

But that very small moment stayed with me.

Because when I looked at her, I saw something I couldn’t explain.

Hope.

There was still worry, of course.

But there was also this quiet sense of relief.

Kanang feeling nga, “At least, naa mi something to check. At least, basin naa mi protection nga makatabang.”

And I thought…

What if they didn’t have one?

What if, on top of the diagnosis, they also had to immediately think about where to get hundreds of thousands, or even millions, for treatment?

What if their savings were not enough?

What if they needed to borrow?

What if they had to ask relatives for help?

What if they had to choose between paying for treatment and paying for the family’s everyday needs?

Because when critical illness enters a family, dili lang ang patient ang affected.

The spouse feels it.

The children feel it.

The parents feel it.

The family’s savings, income, plans, and even dreams can suddenly be affected.

And that’s when I realized again…

Insurance is easy to appreciate when you’re sitting comfortably at home.

But its real value is understood differently when you’re sitting inside a hospital, waiting for answers.

I don’t know who was confined.

I don’t know their diagnosis.

I don’t know their story.

And I don’t know if their policy will cover everything they need because that still depends on the actual policy terms, coverage, and claim assessment.

But I silently prayed…

I hope it helps.

I hope the protection they prepared while they were healthy gives their family more options now.

I hope they don’t have to empty everything they worked so hard for.

I hope they can focus more on healing than worrying about every bill.

And most of all, I hope whoever is lying in that hospital bed gets to go home. 🤍

Because behind every hospital room is a family hoping for one thing:

“Maayo unta siya.”

And sometimes, that’s all you can pray for.

Today reminded me that we don’t prepare because we are expecting something bad to happen.

We prepare because we love people enough to think ahead.

We save.

We build an emergency fund.

We get health protection.

We protect our income.

We plan.

Not because we want to live in fear…

but because when life gives us something we never asked for, we want to have something we can lean on.

Maybe that’s the real meaning of financial preparation.

It’s not about predicting tomorrow.

It’s about giving your future self and your family a little more room to breathe when tomorrow doesn’t go according to plan. 🤍

And today, while waiting for our own appointment, I was reminded of why I keep having these conversations with people.

Not because I want everyone to buy insurance.

But because I hope more people understand its value before they find themselves sitting in a hospital, wishing they had prepared earlier.

To whoever that family was…

I may never know your full story.

But I hope you are okay.

I hope the person you’re waiting for gets better.

And I hope the protection you prepared becomes one of the reasons your family can breathe a little easier during this difficult chapter.

Some policies are paid for years and barely noticed.

Until one day, when a family needs help the most.

And suddenly, you understand why preparation mattered. 🤍🙏

Sunday reminder. 🤍

Sometimes, we get so busy planning for tomorrow that we forget to appreciate what God has already given us today.

The family we prayed for.
The work we once prayed for.
The people who stayed.
The lessons from seasons we thought we wouldn’t survive.

Maybe today is not about doing more.

Maybe it’s about pausing for a while and saying,

“Lord, thank You. I may not have everything figured out yet, but I’m grateful for how far You’ve brought me.”

And as we prepare for another week, let’s also remember to prepare wisely for the future.

Take care of your health.
Take care of your family.
Take care of your finances.
And most importantly, take care of your relationship with God.

Because building a good life is not just about having more.

It’s about being a good steward of what we already have. 🤍

Happy Sunday. May this week bring you more peace, wisdom, and reasons to be grateful. 🙏✨

EPISODE 4: Why Is Insurance Called a “Premium”? 🤔

Today with the team. 🤍

There’s something special about being surrounded by people who are not just working for success, but genuinely want to grow, serve, and become better people along the way.

And lately, I’ve been reflecting on this question:

Who naturally values the kind of person I am and the kind of service I give?

Because I’m realizing that the goal is not to convince everyone to work with me, become my client, or be part of the journey.

It’s to find the people who naturally value sincerity, integrity, growth, and genuine service.

People who appreciate being guided.
People who value learning.
People who want to prepare, not because they are afraid, but because they understand the importance of being intentional with their future.

The same goes for the people I want to build with.

I want to be surrounded by people who are grounded, teachable, kind, ambitious, and willing to serve.

People who want to grow professionally, personally, spiritually, and financially, while still remembering why they started.

Because the right people don’t just make the journey easier.

They make the journey more meaningful.

And I’m grateful that little by little, I’m finding those people. 🤍

Still learning.
Still growing.
Still building.

But this time, with people who value the same things I do.

And that, for me, is a blessing. ✨
