Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 75-2025 - Providing Extension of the Deadlines for the Filing of Tax Returns and Payment of the Corresponding Taxes Due Thereon, Including Submission of Required Documents for Taxpayers within the Jurisdiction of Revenue District Offices of the Bureau of Internal Revenue that were Affected by the Southwest Monsoon and Typhoons "Crising", "Dante" and "Emong"

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) championed significant reforms under the term of Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino that paved the way toward a more business-friendly and innovative corporate sector and efficient capital market.

Following his appointment as chairperson in 2018, Chair Aquino rolled out his SuperVision to transform the Philippine business sector, considered among the best in Southeast Asia.

At the heart of this vision was digitalization. The SEC launched key innovations like eSPARC, OneSEC, eFAST, eSPAYSEC, and HARBOR which revolutionized company registration, compliance, and transparency. In 2025, it introduced SEC AInnovation, a 24/7 AI-powered chatbot offering multilingual regulatory support.

These reforms led to record highs: Over 52,000 new business registrations in 2024, a jump in reportorial compliance from 26% in 2022 to nearly 70% in 2024, and the country’s exit from the FATF grey list. Capital formation efforts brought in ₱2.21 billion for MSMEs through roadshows across 21 key cities.

Chair Aquino also strengthened enforcement—securing the conviction of KAPA scammers, revoking over 2,000 illegal lending firms, and cracking down on new schemes like advance fee scams. He institutionalized Investor Protection Week and spearheaded education campaigns that reached over 6 million people nationwide.

The SEC also became a champion of sustainability, earning multiple global honors and pushing both large and small companies to adopt responsible business practices. Internally, the agency achieved numerous accolades for organizational excellence and good governance.
