Ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) nipagawas karong hapon May 28, 2026 ug advisory nga kulang ang supply sa kuryente tungod kay adunay "Line Equipment Overload"nga nag shutdown sa Visayas.

Tungod niini, mopahigayon kita ug “Rotational Brown-out” nga atong masinati sulod sa 30 ka minutos sugod sa alas 4 sa hapon hangtod sa alas 9 sa gabie (4PM to 9PM).
Mao kini ang pasunod sa rotational brown-out;

1. F1 Bin SS (Areas affected: Portion of Tinaogan, Bindoy to Sta. Cruz, Tayasan)

2. F1 Bais SS (Areas affected: Portion of Poblacion, Bais City to Riverside Alangilanan, Manjuyod-URSUMCO Area)

3. F2 Bais SS (Areas affected: Portion of Poblacion, Bais City to Calasgaan)

4. F1 Mab SS (Areas affected: Portion of Tadlong, Mabinay to Hagtu)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Bindoy Main Office, Bais & Guihulngan Collection Center will be CLOSED tomorrow, May 27, 2026 in observance of the Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) in line with Proclamation No. 1264.

Regular office transactions will remuse on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Authorized payment centers over-the-counter and Online payment platforms are available to accept payment of power bills.

Factors that contributed to the YELLOW Alert extension:

1. Outage of PEDC Unit 2

A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

Bakit nagkakaroon ng Grid alerts?

Nagkakaroon ng Grid Alerts kapag may kakulangan sa generation supply at aberya sa transmission.

Pero alam mo ba?

Base sa datos, karamihan ng Red at Yellow Alerts ay dahil sa problema sa generation lalo na kapag biglang nagsa-shutdown ang mga planta.

Kapag nangyari ito, biglang bumababa ang available na supply ng kuryente, kaya mas mataas ang posibilidad ng rotational brownouts.

Ano ang kailangan?

Mas maraming reliable at stable baseload power plants sa tamang lugar para masigurong tuloy-tuloy ang supply ng kuryente.

NGCP may implement Manual Load Dropping (MLD) in the following areas today, 21 May, to maintain the integrity of the power system:

Aside from the unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, and PEDC 3, the manual load dropping is being implemented to prevent the overloading of the Daanbantayan-Tabango 230kV Line 2 due to the additional unplanned outage of CENPRI Diesel, PDPP1 Unit 5, PDPP3, PGPP2 Unit 1 amounting to 74MW.

Schedule may be cancelled if system condition improves, such as if actual demand falls below projections.

NGCP encourages everyone to exercise prudence in using electricity.
