As a financial advisor, I often promote the importance of planning and protection.

In March 2024, I was in a vehicular accident that required major surgery. It was a daunting journey, but I am thankful to have gradually come through it and am now on the road to recovery.

Grateful to Jehovah God, my family, friends, brothers and sisters in faith, & loved ones who supported and stood by me during this challenging time.

Also, thankful to AIA Philippines (AIA Med Assist + Medicard). Their coverage eased a significant part of my financial burden, covering a considerable portion of my medical expenses.

Let's talk about motivation.

When it comes to anything in life, motivation is important. Motivation allows you to feel excited to reach your goals, expand your interest in your goals, and even broaden your knowledge around your goals.

When I first started my financial journey, it quickly become apparent to me that the number one motivator for me was establishing my why. Why am I on this journey in the first place?

It was throughout the years that I found other ways to stay motivated. These ways included tracking my progress visually and keeping record of my past budgets to see just how far I've come.

While motivation is great, remember that it's important to not solely rely on motivation to reach your goals. After all, there will be days where you don't feel motivated. This is where discipline comes into play.

Some other ways to stay motivated are:

❤️ Decluttering your workspace

❤️ Dedicating a certain time/amount of time to work on your finances

❤️ Celebrating the small wins

Motivation will look different for everyone, so be sure to figure out what motivates you.
