Sophisticated Jammie Drive!

Winter can be incredibly hard for so many families and vulnerable children in our community, and this year Sophisticated Accounting wants to do something to help 🩷

For the month of June, we’ll be supporting Jammies for June with the goal of helping keep children warm while they’re in hospital this winter.

We’ll officially be running a Sophisticated Jammie Drive and collecting brand new children’s pyjamas at our office throughout June 🧸✨

AND, for every new client who signs up with Sophisticated Accounting during June, we’ll also be donating a brand new pair of pyjamas to the campaign ❤️

If any of our amazing clients, friends, family or local businesses would like to contribute, we’d love your support. Sizes 0–16 are all welcome, as long as they’re brand new with tags attached.

I feel incredibly grateful for the support my business receives every single day, and being able to give back in a meaningful way is something really important to me.

All pyjamas will be dropped off personally by me to either Wellington or Lower Hutt Hospital.

Let’s see how many little humans we can help keep warm this winter 🤍

As the year wraps up, we’re taking a short break to rest and recharge 🎄

Our office will be closed from 3pm on 23 December and will reopen on 12 January.

I truly have the best clients and get to work with the coolest humans 💛

Both Ngahuia Wild Bird Rescue and Framework Homes are clients of mine, and just look at this incredible collaboration!

Ngahuia Wild Bird Rescue was unfortunately scammed out of $5,000 when they ordered an aviary that was never delivered. A huge financial loss for a not-for-profit organisation! We put out a call to our wonderful Wairarapa community, and Framework Homes came to the rescue 🙌

Not only did they build a beautiful new aviary, but with materials donated by Mitre 10 Martinborough, Capital Precut Solutions, and support from PJ Warren Earthmoving, it’s turned out even better than anyone could have imagined.

So humbled to be part of a community filled with such generosity, and grateful to be working with amazing people every day 🌿🐦

Sophisticated Accounting is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contractor basis!

Are you confident, capable, and ready to hit the ground running? Do you love building great relationships with clients and delivering top-notch accounting support? This could be the perfect fit for you!

We’re after someone who can manage their own client portfolio with ease — phone calls, emails, in-person meetings and all. You’ll be hands-on with everything from financial statements and tax returns to forecasts, budgets, and complex client queries.

You’ll need to be confident with:

✔ Xero (including XPM + Workpapers)
✔ Microsoft Office + Google Drive
✔ Preparing GST, FBT, RWT, and more
✔ Preparing Financial Statements + Income Tax Returns
✔ Producing management reports, forecasts & budgets
✔ Communicating directly with clients

🌟 Chartered Accountant preferred
🌟 5+ years’ experience in a similar role ideal
🌟 Contractor role – flexible hours, competitive rate
