As a company, we’ve been around for a while. Our story dates back to the 1960s, when in March 1965, a young accountant by the name of Kelly Diprose took a carefully calculated and financially analysed risk. Armed w
ith his trusty briefcase at his side and a belief that the Waikato community needed such a businessman, Kelly opened his own accountancy firm in Te Aroha. The fact he had no clients didn’t matter, because it didn’t stay like that for long. Candy Diprose accountants was formed after Kelly joined forces with Bruce Candy of Matamata. The two ambitious accountants now provided business advice, accounting services and financial guidance to these rural communities. It wasn’t long before each town’s practice became more self-sufficient, and the natural progression was to create two separate practices. In the early 1990's, the Te Aroha firm rebranded to Diprose Miller to recognise Kelly's partnership with fellow Te Aroha accountant, Keith Miller.
