From 1 April 2026, there are a couple of key changes that may affect employees and employers:

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲
The adult minimum wage will rise to $23.95 per hour (with training and starting-out rates also increasing).

𝗞𝗶𝘄𝗶𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀
The default KiwiSaver contribution rate for both employees and employers increases from 3 % to 3.5 % of before-tax pay.

If you run payroll or are planning budgets for the year ahead, make sure you’re ready for these changes. Reach out if you need support getting set up!
