More than 30 years in North Canterbury.

The name may be changing, but the story behind our Rangiora practice is one worth celebrating.

Established by Gordon Sheppard, the practice grew through Jenny Ormsby’s 16 years of leadership before Bronwyn Candish took ownership in 2022. Across every chapter, the focus remained the same: providing practical advice, personal service and trusted support to the people and businesses of North Canterbury.

In August 2026, the practice became part of Praxis Accounting & Advisory, opening a new chapter while continuing that local legacy.

To every client, farmer, business owner, family and individual who has trusted us over the years — thank you for being part of our story.

We’re proud of what has been built here, and excited about what comes next.

After more than three decades serving the North Canterbury community, we’re proud to share that Sheppard & Ormsby has joined Praxis Accounting & Advisory.

From our beginnings with Gordon Sheppard, through Jenny Ormsby’s leadership and the years under Bronwyn Candish, this practice has always been built around one thing: strong relationships with our clients and the local community.

Now, as part of Praxis, we’re entering an exciting new chapter - bringing together the personal, local service our clients know with the wider expertise and resources of the Praxis team.

Our Rangiora office remains here, with a local team continuing to support businesses, farmers, families and individuals throughout North Canterbury.

To all our clients and the wider community who have supported Sheppard & Ormsby over the years - thank you. We’re looking forward to continuing the journey with you.
