It’s not too often, I have two NOS rimblow wheels in my shop.
So I thought I would share some photos, and my thoughts on these wheels, and the 4000 rimblow wheels I have restored.

The first NOS wheel is a 1972 XAGT wheel (first 4 photos). It has the typical wood grain as most of the wheels I have seen. The wood grain is also very similar to the XW/XYGT wheels.

The second NOS wheel dated 1976 (last 4 photos), which I believe to be a replacement wheels. The wood grain is different to most, which I guess is due to engineering changes.

Both wheels have a gloss black finish.

Most XW-XBGT wheels have the walnut wood grain, similar to the first NOS wheel. The only Teak wood grain I have seem, are on 68-69 dated Mustang wheel, and very early XWGT’s.

I believe I have a XYGT shaker assembly, on my 1970 Boss 302, but trying to work out if it’s a genuine XYGT assembly or reproduction.
On the base it has 70072
On the shaker plate it has 2V 4V on the front edge
The snorkel and shaker itself (alloy) look original
