Running a business is lonely. That’s exactly why Bring On Monday exists.

Before COVID, Kai and I were running an e-comm brand, and most of our mates were in corporate jobs. They’d ask how the business was going, but they just didn’t get it.

So we started a meetup first Monday of the month, 7 a.m. free coffee and a guest speaker. And whatever the topic was, we always ended up talking about the same thing, the numbers.

So we started doing people’s books. Bring On Monday was born.

Once we got inside the numbers, it was always way worse than we initially thought! Owners were fully winging it, so we added in the advice piece.

6 years on, I still see it every week, smart Kiwi business owners who never had someone to.

Danny just got off a call with one of the clients he mentors and this was what they talked about…

Most businesses have brand guidelines sitting in a folder somewhere. Values, tone, how you talk to customers. Then AI gets rolled out across the team and all of that goes out the window. Your customer sees a pile of random content and your brand DNA disappears.

If you’re heading toward the $1M mark, this is the bit worth fixing now:

1. Re-look at why you’re actually different
2. Get your messaging and value proposition sharp
3. Then build that into how your team uses AI, so the rules get followed across the whole organisation

FAQ No. 4: How hard is it to switch accountants?

For a lot of owners, this is the question that keeps them stuck. Switching sounds like a headache, so they stay put with an accountant who stopped serving them a while ago. It’s actually far easier than you think!

Switching accountants is more like changing your KiwiSaver or power provider than changing banks. All we need from you is a couple of details, usually your IRD number and your current accountant’s name. From there we handle it. We reach out to your existing accountant, get everything transferred across, and make sure we have access to what we need. It’s smooth, it’s quick, and it takes very little from you.

The daunting part is mostly in your head. The switch itself is simple.
