The results were interesting:

📊 73% were actively looking for employment.
📊 68% said employers are asking for Xero skills.
📊 45% already held an accounting qualification.

One observation stood out.

Many people already have qualifications.

Many have experience.

What they are missing is practical software experience.

In today's job market, employers increasingly look for candidates who can contribute from day one.

This is where practical Xero skills can make a real difference.

Knowledge remains important.

But the ability to apply that knowledge using modern accounting software is often what helps candidates stand out.

It's one of the reasons I continue teaching practical accounting and Xero skills after more than 12 years as an educator.
