📣 Important KiwiSaver change for employers – effective 1 April 2026 📣

This is a proactive reminder that KiwiSaver contribution rates are changing.

From 1 April 2026, the default KiwiSaver contribution rate for both employees and employers will increase to 3.5%, following changes announced by the New Zealand Government.

What employers should do now:
✔️ Review payroll settings
✔️ Factor the increase into future wage and payroll cost planning
✔️ Ensure systems are ready ahead of 1 April 2026

👉 If we process your payroll, you don’t need to do anything — we will automatically update your payroll settings to reflect this change.

✨ How it works
• Accept your invite – we’re sending these out to get everyone started.
• Download the app – available in the App Store/Google Play. Just snap a picture of your receipt or invoice and it uploads directly to Hubdoc (similar to MYOB Capture).
• Email your invoices – you’ll also get a unique Hubdoc email address so you can forward invoices straight from your inbox.
• Let Hubdoc do the rest – it extracts key info (date, supplier, amount) and syncs with Xero, ready for us to code.

We’re new to Hubdoc too and finding our way around, but it’s already looking like a huge time-saver. In the new year we’ll also hold some training sessions for anyone who’d like a helping hand.
