Today is a Jaipur office holiday for the Kite Festival (Makar Sankranti). We also recognise Pongal, celebrated across parts of India.

A few team members in India are taking time off to observe today’s festivals. Today’s staffing will be slightly reduced in some locations, with client work continuing as normal.

Control is lost when responsibility is unclear, not when work is delegated. In practice, outsourcing often increases control if governance is designed properly.

What changes is who completes the activity. Not who decides. In well-run outsourcing models:
• Outcomes are defined before tasks begin, not after issues arise.
• KPIs and SLAs replace ad-hoc supervision with measurable accountability.
• Dashboards and cadence reviews create visibility without micromanagement.
• A single escalation path prevents diffusion of responsibility when problems occur.

The real risk is unmanaged delegation, not outsourcing itself. Control depends on structure, not proximity.
