Our online services will not be available on Saturday 12 September from 1pm to approximately 10.30pm, while we complete a system update.

Services affected include myIR, SPK2IR, and submitting info via software providers.

If you have saved web requests for tax account registration, these will be deleted during the update. All other saved drafts and web requests in myIR will not be affected.

You can use our website and make payments through your bank during this outage.

Meet the Directors - Scott Massie

Scott joined Lock & Partners in 1980 after gaining experience in the commercial sector and has maintained a strong interest in accounting, business advisory, and corporate governance for SMEs. With more than 45 years in the profession, he has developed extensive expertise in tax compliance, business services, and trust administration.

Scott also has significant experience in succession planning and business transition advisory for SMEs. He assists business owners with principal shareholder retirement and ownership transitions, helping maintain continuity and long-term business success.

Are you trading in crypto? Inland Revenue is paying attention.

IRD has identified over 355,000 crypto asset users in New Zealand and has already started issuing compliance letters, starting with people who would normally be on the auto filed list.

With expanded data matching now in place, crypto activity is much easier for Inland Revenue to identify.

If you have traded in crypto and are unsure whether you have met your tax obligations, now is the time to check.
