🗓️ Mark your calendars!
The 7 July deadline for filing your IR3 tax return is just around the corner.
If you made more than $200 (before tax) from income that wasn't already taxed via PAYE, you legally need to lodge an IR3 return.
Not sure if this applies to you? You must file if you had income from:
💼 Sole trader or self-employed work
🏡 Residential or commercial rental properties
🪙 Cash jobs, casual work, or untaxed schedular payments
🏢 Shareholder-employee salaries with no PAYE deducted
🌾 Estates, trusts, partnerships, or LTC allocations
📜 Royalties or taxable bright-line property sales
The IRD doesn't automatically know about this income, which is why the responsibility falls on you to declare it.
