๐ Happy 33rd Anniversary, Delta State! ๐
Today, we celebrate 33 years of unity, progress, and the indomitable spirit of Deltans! From the oil-rich lands of Warri to the vibrant communities across Asaba, Agbor, Ughelli, Sapele, and beyond, Delta State has continued to shine as a beacon of cultural diversity, economic growth, and resilience.
As we reflect on our journey, we honor the leaders who have steered our beloved state through the years:
Olorogun Felix Ibru (1991-1993) - The first Governor who laid the foundational stones for our great state.
Colonel Bassey Asuquo (1993-1994) - Steered the state during a transitional period with dedication.
Colonel Ibrahim Kefas (1994-1996) - Led with strength during a challenging era.
Colonel John Dungs (1996-1998) - Governed with a focus on stability.
Colonel David Dungs (1998-1999) - Guided the state into a new democratic era.
Chief James Ibori (1999-2007) - Ushered in the Fourth Republic and brought significant development.
Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan (2007-2015) - Fostered peace and infrastructure development across the state.
Senator Ifeanyi Okowa (2015-2023) - Focused on prosperity, education, and health for all Deltans.
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori (2023-present) - Currently leading us with a vision for greater inclusivity and sustainable growth.
To all the amazing people of Delta State, this is a day to celebrate our shared history, our achievements, and our bright future. Letโs continue to work together, hand in hand, to build a Delta State we can all be proud of.
