On June 26, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed four tax reform Acts: the Nigeria Tax Act (NTA), Nigeria Tax Administration Act (NTAA), Nigeria Revenue Service Act and Joint Revenue Board Establishment. These Acts repeal and replace antiquated tax laws. This repealed law will commence in January 2026
