This is a sad story that ended well – read this!
Let me tell you a short story that happened before my eyes. I was once in the bank trying to run a transaction and with the corner of my eyes, I saw an Elderly lady fidgeting with one young kid by her side. I don’t like seeing Elderly people stressed so I moved closer to ask what was wrong.
Apparently, her son in “the abroad” – not USA or UK or Canada, had sent her some money and she had no idea how to collect it. The Son of this woman sent the money through Western Union and filling the form was wahala for the woman. I stopped my transaction and went ahead to help this woman. We went through the forms and helped her conclude the transaction. When she got the funds, she also had issues selling it and I also helped with that.
When she received her naira into her bank account, her countenance changed all of a sudden and you could see her happiness.
At this point, I realized she understood credit alerts in Naira and not in other currencies that would waste much time to process. She was familiar with Naira credit alerts and she could easily withdraw her Naira.
So, what if it’s easier to send money from Countries like Turkey, Hungary, any Country that uses Euros, Canada and UK easily to a Naira bank account?
