The Sri Lanka Police Saving Association was formulated in the year 1928 by Mr.J.D.Aitken-Superintendent of Police.The premier objective of originating this scheme of savings was to inspire the personnel attached to the Police Department,in the habit of saving money and to confirm their financial stability by the time they retire from the service.This association which was originally a scheme based

on monthly savings has now developed into a monetary scheme fortified for the wellbeing of employees of the Police Department and constituted under the Ceylon Police Savings Association Ordinance No 4 of 1928.
