WHO ARE WE
The Chartered Accountants Students’ Society is the students’ body of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), which currently boasts of a registered students’ population of above 45,000 and passed finalists of above 5,500. We were formed in 1981 to provide educational, professional, sports and social activities for the benefit of the students of CA Sri Lanka
and also to represent the interests of the students’ population of CA Sri Lanka and currently represent students from 30 Chartered Accountants firm. Our Society has a history that goes back over two decades, which is of not just events, and achievements that we are proud of, but memories that we take with us as we move on and cherish forever. Over a period of three decades the society has produced all-round professionals who currently hold esteemed positions in the corporate world. With a proven track record, their performances have immensely benefited these organizations to compete in an ever changing environment. Many a prominent figure confesses that the lessons learnt from the society could not be matched with any taught in class. The Society functions entirely as the student’s body and the students involved will be compelled to exhibit skills of professionalism in organizing events and conducting committee meetings. The students will get a platform to interact and socialize with those from other organizations thereby increasing the affiliation amongst students. Building character and charisma to successfully face any challenge presented when conducting the activities and events of the society. An opportunity to build close relationships with the CA council members, members of the Chartered Accountancy body and other overseas accountancy bodies. Opportunities to represent the country in international conferences and the prospect of showcasing various talents while networking with thousands of budding chartered accountants. Publicity and enhancement of brand image for your respective organizations with the events we conduct, especially at the National CA Students’ Conferences. OUR VISION

To function as a students' body and to promote further, the interests of the students in the education, literary, sport, social, cultural and any other sphere of activity by co-operating and associating itself with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka as and when necessary, and to promote social interaction with other student bodies both here and abroad by applying the finance of the society in a manner most conductive to carrying out and promotion of those activities. The Chartered Accountants Students' Society celebrated its Annual Awards Night on 6th July 2012 which was held at the CA Sri Lanka Auditorium. The occasion was attended by many eminent personalities of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka including, Mr Sujeewa Rajapakse- President of CA Sri Lanka, Mr Arjuna Herath-Vice President of CA Sri Lanka, Mr. Reyaz Mihular - Patron of CA Students' Society & formar president of CA Sri Lanka, Mr. Nuton Perera - Trustee of the Educational Trust Fund , Mr Jagath Perera – Students’ Committee Chairman of CA Sri Lanka, and council members. The Awards Night prize distribution took place for the students students who excelled in the CA Sri Lanka examinations and sports events. The long award prize, the winner of the last year in the sports was grabbed by Jayasinghe & Co. The Awards Night proves that students to do a lot more in their future in both their studies and sports.
