Tariff on Cambodia reduced to 19% . Congratulations Cambodia, negotiate team!
សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកបានសម្រេចបញ្ចុះពន្ធលើទំនិញនាំចេញពីកម្ពុជាទៅកាន់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមកត្រឹម ១៩% (គឺថយចុះ ៣០% ប្រៀបធៀបជាមួយអត្រាពន្ធពីដំបូង ៤៩%)។ នេះជាដំណឹងដ៏ល្អសម្រាប់ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋខ្មែរ និងសេដ្ឋកិច្ចរបស់កម្ពុជាដើម្បីបន្តអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ប្រទេសជាតិតទៅមុខ។
ខ្ញុំសូមអរគុណឯកឧត្តមប្រធានាធិបតី Donald Trump ដែលឯកឧត្តមបានយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ដោយផ្ទាល់ នៅក្នុងការផ្ដួចផ្ដើមនិងជំរុញឲ្យមានការឈប់បាញ់គ្នារវាងកងទ័ពកម្ពុជានិងកងទ័ពថៃ និងបន្តតាមដានការអនុវត្តបទឈប់បាញ់ដោយផ្ទាល់ រហូតដល់មានសន្តិភាពជាអចិន្ត្រៃយ៍និងប្រក្រតីភាពនៃទំនាក់ទំនងរវាងកម្ពុជា-ថៃនៅពេលខាងមុខ។ បន្ថែមលើនេះ ឯកឧត្តមប្រធានាធិបតីក៏បានផ្ដល់នូវការយោគយល់សម្រាប់កម្ពុជា ដោយបានផ្ដល់នូវឱកាសក្នុងការបន្តពង្រឹងការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍សេដ្ឋកិច្ច និងទំនាក់ទំនងពាណិជ្ជកម្មរវាងកម្ពុជានិងសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកបន្តទៅទៀត។
នៅក្នុងអំឡុងពេលដែលខ្ញុំបានសន្ទនាតាមទូរសព្ទជាមួយឯកឧត្តមធានាធិបតី Donald Trump កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ២៦ និង ២៨ កក្កដាកន្លងទៅនេះ ខ្ញុំបានបញ្ជាក់អំពីសារៈសំខាន់នៃសន្តិភាពនិងការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជាដោយសារកម្ពុជាទើបងើបពីសង្គ្រាមរ៉ាំរ៉ៃនៅក្នុងប្រទេសជាង ៥០០ឆ្នាំមកហើយ។ នៅក្នុងឱកាសនោះ ខ្ញុំក៏បានស្នើសុំឲ្យឯកឧត្តមប្រធានាធិបតីផ្ដល់ការយោគយល់ផងដែរ សម្រាប់បន្ធូរអត្រាពន្ធលើទំនិញនាំចូលពីកម្ពុជា អោយនៅត្រឹមអត្រាទាបណាមួយដែលជួយឲ្យកម្ពុជាមានឱកាសបន្តអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ប្រទេសជាតិនិងលើកស្ទួយជីវភាពរស់នៅរបស់ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា។
ឯកឧត្តម Donald Trump បានបង្ហាញនូវការការចាប់អារម្មណ៍យ៉ាងខ្លាំងពាក់ព័ន្ធជាមួយប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រដ៏ជូរចត់របស់កម្ពុជា ក៏ដូចជាសមានចិត្តនៅក្នុងការជួយដល់ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាអោយមានសន្តិភាព ក៏ដូចជាជួយឲ្យកម្ពុជាមានឱកាសបន្តអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ប្រទេសបន្តទៀត។ ចំពោះការស្នើសុំរបស់ខ្ញុំពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹងការយោគយល់អំពីអត្រាពពន្ធ ឯកឧត្តមប្រធានាធិបតីបានប្រាប់ខ្ញុំកាលពីថ្ងៃទី ២៨ កក្កដា ថានឹងពិនិត្យសម្រេច ដោយឯកឧត្តមបានប្រាប់ខ្ញុំថានឹងធ្វើឲ្យកម្ពុជារីករាយសប្បាយចិត្ត (will make you happy)។ ថ្ងៃនេះគឺឯកឧត្តមបានសម្រេចបញ្ចុះអត្រាពន្ធលើទំនិញនាំចេញពីកម្ពុជាទៅកាន់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមកនៅត្រឹម ១៩%។
ខ្ញុំសូមយកឱកាសនេះធ្វើការកោតសរសើរចំពោះក្រុមការងារចរចាពន្ធបដិការជាមួយសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក ដែលដឹកនាំដោយឯកឧត្តមឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ស៊ុនចាន់ថុល និងបណ្ដាអ្នកពាក់ព័ន្ធទាំងអស់ដែលបានខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងក្នុងការចរចាពន្ធបដិការជាមួយសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក ដោយទទួលបាននូវលទ្ធផលល្អប្រសើរនៅពេលនេះ។
The United States has decided to reduce tariffs on Cambodian exports to the U.S. down to 19% (reduction of 30% compared to initial rate of 49%). This is great news for the people and the economy of Cambodia to continue develope our nation.
I would like to express my thanks to President Donald Trump for his initiative and decisive leadership in securing immediate and unconditional ceasefire between Cambodian and Thai military forces, and for continuing to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire directly, until permanent peace and normalization of relations between Cambodia and Thailand is achieved in the future. In addition, President Trump has shown understanding and support for Cambodia by providing the opportunity to further strengthen economic development and trade relations between Cambodia and the United States.
During my phone conversations with President Donald Trump on July 26 and 28, I emphasized the importance of peace and development in Cambodia, as our country has only recently emerged from a prolonged conflict that lasted more than 500 years. On that occasion, I also requested that President Trump consider lowering the tariff rate on Cambodian exports to the US to a favorable level, which would allow Cambodia to continue develope and improve the living standards of the Cambodian people.
President Donald Trump expressed his deep personal sympathy and interest in Cambodia’s painful history, as well as sincere desire towards helping Cambodian people achieve peace and also supporting Cambodia’s national development. In response to my request regarding tariff reduction, President Trump told me on July 28 that he would review the case and will make you (Cambodia) happy. Today, His Excellency has decided to reduce the tariff rate on Cambodian exports to the United States to 19%.
I would like to take this opportunity to praise our Cambodian negotiating team on tariffs with the United States, led by Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, and all involved parties who have worked diligently on tariff negotiations with the United States, which have contributed significantly to this excellent outcome.
