Never give a second chance to someone who deliberately tried to destroy you. Not everyone who hurts you made a mistake.
Some people move with intention, calculation and full awareness. And when someone chooses to ruin your peace, your reputation, your progress or your spirit, giving them another chance is not kindness -it is self-betrayal.
People who seek to destroy you do not “slip up.” They make a choice. A conscious decision to wound, discredit or break you. That kind of behavior is not accidental, and forgiveness alone does not erase it.
A second chance can teach the wrong lesson. It tells them your boundaries are negotiable and your access is permanent, even in the absence of RESPECT!
It tells them consequences do not exist. And once someone learns they can cross the line and still return, they will cross it again -only more carefully next time.
Protecting yourself is not bitterness; it is wisdom earned through pain.
You can forgive internally without reopening the door. Forgiveness frees your heart. Distance protects your life.
Some people do not deserve another explanation, another conversation or another opportunity. They already revealed who they truly are when it mattered most.
And this is the truth that saves years of regret: you are not obligated to keep understanding someone who was willing to destroy you.
Peace comes from firm boundaries, not endless tolerance.
Never confuse strength with endurance. Sometimes the greatest strength is walking away once -and never looking back!
