CA Gopal Kumar Kedia was elected as member of North India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India first time in the year 2009 for the year 2010-2013 & again re-elected with highest ever votes in the year 2012 for the year 2013-2016. He was elected as Treasurer of NIRC for the year 2011-12 and again he was elected as Vice Chairman of NIRC for the year 2012-13. Born in th
e year 1967, he has distinction of qualifying as CA and ICMA along with graduation at the age of 21 years. He did his graduation from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta in the year 1987 and CA & ICA in the year 1988. CA Kedia was also very active in his student period and he was elected as a Treasurer of Eastern India CA Students Association (EICASA) in the year 1986. He was also Joint Secretary & Sports Secretary of Poddar Chhatra Niwas, Calcutta where he resided from 1982 to 1989. CA Kedia has 25 years of post qualification experience in the hardcore profession of accountancy. He has in his credit experience in the field of Taxation, Audit, Accounting, Company Law Matters, Financial Services, VAT & Sales Tax, FEMA, FCRA, Foreign Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Service tax matters etc. CA Kedia has been Chairman of Professional Development Committee, Direct Tax Committee, Career Counseling Committee and various other committees of North India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. CA Kedia was also Coordinator of Service Tax Research Group, Direct Tax Code Research Group, Accounting Standard Research Group, Professional Development Research Group, International tax & Fema Research Group and many other Research Groups of NIRC of ICAI. CA Kedia was also Exam. Coordinator for May, 2011 & May 2012 examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for whole of Delhi. CA Kedia is also very socially active and is involved in many social organizations in Delhi. He is ardent follower of Art of Management and is a very good administrator. He also appeared for Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
