Cash accounting records revenue/expenses when cash changes hands, while accrual accounting records them when earned/incurred, regardless of payment timing, offering a more accurate financial picture (matching revenue to related expenses) but requiring more complexity (tracking accounts payable/receivable). Cash accounting suits small businesses, while accrual is required by GAAP/IFRS for larger companies, providing better insight into long-term performance and profitability.

BIG GST UPDATE from Nov 2025 ЁЯЪи
Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B is getting LOCKED!

CBIC Has Issued Another Important Advisory on reporting values in Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B

1. What is Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B?: -
It reports inter-state supplies made to:
тЬЕ Unregistered persons
тЬЕ Composition dealers
тЬЕ UIN holders
These values flow directly from GSTR-1 / GSTR-1A / IFF.

2. WhatтАЩs the BIG change from Nov 2025?: -
ЁЯФТ Table 3.2 will become NON-EDITABLE
You will now file GSTR-3B only on system auto-populated values.
тЮбя╕П No manual correction allowed.

3. Mistake auto-populated? DonтАЩt panic.: -
You CANNOT edit GSTR-3B anymore for Table 3.2.
тЬЕ Correction must be done via:
тЮбя╕ПGSTR-1A (same tax period)
тЮбя╕ПOr GSTR-1 / IFF (future period)

4. How does correction actually work?: -
тЬФя╕П Amend data in GSTR-1A
тЬФя╕П System instantly updates Table 3.2 in GSTR-3B
тЬФя╕П Then you file correct GSTR-3B
тЪб Fully system-driven correction flow

5. Why is the Govt doing this?: -
To ensure:
тЬЕ No mismatch between GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B
тЬЕ No tax leakage
тЬЕ Strong audit trail
тЬЕ Fewer litigation disputes

6. Most important compliance tip ЁЯФС: -
From now on:
ЁЯЪл DonтАЩt treat GSTR-1 as тАЬtemporaryтАЭ
тЬЕ Treat GSTR-1 as the foundation of your tax liability

7. Time limit for GSTR-1A amendment?: -
тП│ NO cut-off before filing GSTR-3B
тЮбя╕П You can file GSTR-1A after GSTR-1 and till the moment you file GSTR-3B

8. One mistake in GSTR-1 = Direct tax impact: -
Because now:
ЁЯЯб GSTR-3B cannot be adjusted
ЁЯФ┤ Liability becomes system-final
ЁЯЯв Only GSTR-1 / 1A controls your tax

9. Who must be extra careful?: -
тЪая╕П E-commerce sellers
тЪая╕П Export-linked supplies
тЪая╕П High B2C interstate turnover businesses
тЪая╕П Startups using IFF

10. Final takeaway: -
тЬЕ GSTR-1 becomes the тАЬKINGтАЭ return
тЬЕ GSTR-3B becomes a тАЬmirrorтАЭ return
тЬЕ Draft review is no longer optional тАФ itтАЩs mandatory
