S. 194-IA TDS: The exemption of Rs. 50 lakh in s. 194-IA(2) is applicable w.r.t. the amount related to each transferee and not with reference to the amount as per sale deed. Each transferee is a separate income tax entity and the law has to be applied with reference to each transferee as an individual transferee / person.

Swach Bharath Cess has been Notified @ 0.5% on value of taxable services with effect from November 15, 2015 vide Notification No. 21 and 22 dated November 6, 2015.Rate of service tax with effect from November 15th will be 14.5% with Swach Bharat Cess. No Credit of the cess component. Tax and Cess have to be charged separately and paid under different accounting heads. Head of account for SBC yet to be notified. This is for all taxable services without any exemption.
