But here’s the truth:

Sharing this photo, I took of a mountain peak, and couldn’t help but reflect on how much it reminded me of the investing journey.

When you begin investing, it's like starting a trek—exciting, but also uncertain. You can’t see the summit, the path is steep, and sometimes the weather (read: market) turns rough. 🌧️

But every SIP, every disciplined choice, every moment you stay invested—adds up.

Slowly, steadily, you gain ground. 🌱

And one day, without even realizing it—you’re standing above the clouds.

🌱 A 10-Year Investment Story: Discipline > Noise

In June 2015, a client started a monthly SIP of Rs. 2000 per month in one equity mutual fund.

🗓️ Cut to May 2025:

💸 Total Invested = ₹2,36,000

📈 Current Value = ₹6,25,452

📊 Achieved CAGR = 21.69%

But that’s not all.

If the same amount had grown strictly at the fund’s benchmark CAGR of ~14.27%, the expected value would have been much lower.

👉 The edge?

Consistency.

Ignoring market noise.

Sticking to a plan.

And trusting the process.

This 10-year journey is a testimony to the fact that wealth creation is not about timing the market, but about time in the market.

Most people don’t realize they have a ‘financial mess' until an emergency hits.

A client and his family were vacationing abroad when disaster struck: one family member lost their passport.

Panic set in.

They rushed to the Indian consulate — only to realize they didn’t have a copy of the passport handy, which was needed to apply for a duplicate. In that moment, my client remembered something. He called me.

Why?

As his wealth manager, I was meticulous about organizing, tracking, and securely maintaining important client documents. Within minutes of his call, I emailed him a scanned copy.

Crisis averted. The outcome?

A stressful situation became manageable because one small but powerful system was in place: organized, accessible financial (and personal) documents.
This is the hidden value of a financial organization — it’s not just about tidy folders or digital backups.

Took a step back in yesterday— and found unexpected joy.

After ages, I got my hands on a typewriter. Paper alignment took patience. The sound of the keys was loud, rhythmic, and oddly comforting. I wrote a letter to my mom in heaven.

It reminded me that even as technology speeds up everything, some experiences invite us to slow down and feel. The tactile joy of writing, the effort behind each keystroke, and the mindfulness it required...

A box full of memories. A lesson for life.

Found this during spring cleaning—my first-ever piggy bank.
Not the plastic ones you see in stores.

This one was made by a carpenter who was working at our home when I was in 5th grade. No lock. No glitter. Just intention.

Every coin dropped in had a goal.A new pencil box. A handmade card for mom. Little dreams, saved for slowly.

And somewhere in that simplicity, a lifelong habit was born.
Of saving. Of valuing money.Of understanding that every big milestone begins with small steps.
