⚠️ ALWAYS Check This Code on Your LPG Gas Cylinder!

Most people think LPG cylinders have an “expiry date” ❌
But that’s not actually true.

LPG gas cylinders do NOT have a fixed expiry date for the steel cylinder itself.
What you see on the cylinder is a 👉 **Statutory Testing Due Date**.

Every LPG cylinder is periodically tested for safety.
Only if it passes the inspection, it is allowed to be refilled and used again.

🔍 How to Read the Code?

Example: **D-28**

✅ Letter = Quarter of the Year
A → Jan, Feb, Mar
B → Apr, May, Jun
C → Jul, Aug, Sep
D → Oct, Nov, Dec

✅ Number = Year
28 means 2028

So 👉 **D-28** means the cylinder is due for mandatory safety testing between October and December 2028.

📍Where is this code written?
It is usually painted on one of the vertical metal strips/stays connecting the top ring to the cylinder body.

⚠️ Important:
If the due date has passed, the cylinder should ideally undergo testing before further use/refilling.
If it passes the test, a new due date is marked.
If it fails, the cylinder is scrapped.

✅ Whenever gas delivery arrives:
✔️ Check the seal
✔️ Check for leakage smell
✔️ Verify the Test Due Date code

What To Do If UPI Transaction Failed But Money Debited?? 🚨

Most people just wait… but very few know RBI has rules for this 👀

If your UPI payment fails and:
✅ Money gets deducted from your account
❌ Receiver doesn’t get the money

Then banks generally must reverse the amount within T+1 working day.

And if they delay beyond that timeline, you may be eligible for ₹100/day compensation according to RBI TAT guidelines 💰

⚠ Example:
You sent ₹50,000 through UPI.
Money got debited.
But your friend didn’t receive it.

If the refund is delayed beyond RBI timelines, compensation may apply until resolution.

📌 HOW TO CLAIM COMPENSATION

✅ Step 1: Raise complaint in your UPI app

Apps:
• Google Pay
• PhonePe
• Paytm

Open Transaction → Help → “Money debited but not received”

Write this:

“Transaction failed but amount not reversed within T+1.

As per RBI TAT guidelines, delay beyond T+1 attracts ₹100/day compensation.

Requesting refund along with applicable compensation.”

✅ Step 2: Contact YOUR bank

Tell them clearly:

• UPI failed transaction not reversed within T+1
• RBI compensation rule applicable
• Request refund + compensation

Share:
✔ UTR Number
✔ Date
✔ Amount

✅ Step 3: Wait 2–3 days

Many banks resolve quickly after escalation.

Save:
📌 Complaint ID
📌 Screenshots
📌 Transaction details

🚨 Step 4: File RBI Complaint

Use RBI Complaint Management System (CMS)

Category:
Digital Payment / UPI

Issue:
Delay in refund

Write:

“UPI transaction failed but refund not processed within T+1.

As per RBI guidelines on TAT, ₹100/day compensation is applicable.

Bank has not provided compensation despite delay.”

💡 Important:
✔ Mention “RBI TAT Guidelines”
✔ Mention “₹100/day compensation”
✔ Ask for compensation, not just refund

❌ Not applicable if you sent money to the wrong UPI ID yourself.

🧠 Reality Check:
Banks usually don’t give compensation automatically.

But when you:
✅ Mention RBI rules
✅ Escalate properly
✅ File RBI complaint

…they take it seriously ⚡
