INTRODUCTION TO TALLYPRIME
TallyPrime is FA package i.e., financial accounting package, which can maintain both cash flow and goods flow of business. Package is used to store and maintain and daily business transactions like purchases, sales, receipts, payments, purchase returns, sales returns, deposits and withdrawals etc.
Mr. Bharat Goenka developed an accounting software called “The Accountant” with no codes. Later Bharat and his father S.S. Goenka started Peutronics Pvt. Ltd., Company, Bangalore in the year 1986. Now the company name is renamed as Tally solutions Pvt Ltd in 1988.
There are many other accounting packages are available in the market like, Ex, Wings, Profit, Total, Fact, Winca and daceasy etc. TallyPrime is an enteprise resouce planning accounting software used mainly in small and medium enterprises to record the day-today business data of a company.
