the next big step towards implementation of GST from 01 April 2017, the GST Council, the decision making body to implement the goods and services tax, resolve the crucial issue of threshold exemption by fixing Rs 20 lakh limit, except in the north-east where the limit is Rs 10 lakh. Resultly, those with a turnover of below Rs 20 lakh annually will be exempted from GST.
Besides, it has also been added by the Finance Minister that those who have an annual turnover of less than Rs 1.5 crore will be assessed by the state authorities.
