As I reflect on the life of my beloved father, Mr. V Ranganadan, who passed away recently, I'm compelled to share some of the invaluable lessons he taught us throughout his journey. His life was a testament to the power of resilience, dedication, and dreaming big.
🌟 Remembering My Father: Life Lessons 🌟
[1] Starting Small, Dreaming Big: You started your career as sub staff member in a government organization and climbed the ladder to retire as an Administration Officer. It’s a learning for us that it’s not an issue where we start but be eager and persistent to achieve our goals.
[2] The value of education: You emphasized the importance of education throughout your life, which helped us to achieve in our academic as well as in our career. There are days when you are not in a position to afford our studies but still, you make sure we get the best education in all possible ways.
[3] Family Pride: You have been so proud of our achievements and share our special moments with our relatives and friends
[4] Staying positive and active: For the last 7 years, you have been on continuous treatment yet we have never seen you dull on any days, and always stayed active and positive about the future
[5] Generosity & Charity: You helped a lot of children for their studies and for social causes, which I wish to carry forward in my life.
[6] Being a kind and social person: Everyone talked about your kindness and how your presence keeps the place joyful. It’s not just for them, it’s at our home as well. You always kept the home happy with your presence which we will miss now.
[7] Financial: It was a very hard time you went through because of the multiple loans in your mid-30s to 50s to meet our daily needs, for our education, and to build a home for us. This is great learning for us to understand financial matters and be thoughtful about our spending.
[8] Love for life: I have never seen people ready to go through such pain courageously to live for another couple of years. The decision you made during your last phase of life showed us how much you loved being with us and adding value to society
[9] Work: When it comes to work, your dedication and punctuality are what come to my mind. You always strived to give your best to your organization. Also after retirement, you have taken some initiative and started a business on your own as if there is no end to your life.
[10] Health: It is an observation throughout your life, that you have struggled a lot to be sound financially. Once all three of us started working and settled financial matters, your health started taking a toll. But still, the discipline you have shown after that for taking care of your health was hats off.
Though it's a challenging time for our family, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the time I had with you. Appa (Dad), we miss you dearly, but your lessons and love continue to guide us every day.
You spend your entire life on us and we make sure that every moment counts! Thanks for all, without your hard work we are nowhere.
