*πŸ“’ GSTN Clarification – No Change in Auto ITC or GSTR-3B Filing!*

⚠️ GSTN has noticed fake posts spreading confusion about ITC changes from 1 Oct 2025. It has officially clarified the facts as under:

1️⃣ Auto-Population of ITC (No Change)
βœ… Input Tax Credit (ITC) will continue to auto-populate from GSTR-2B β†’ GSTR-3B automatically.
βœ… No manual intervention required.
βœ… The new Invoice Management System (IMS) does not change this process.

2️⃣ GSTR-2B Generation
πŸ“Œ GSTR-2B will still be generated automatically on the 14th of every month.
πŸ“Œ Taxpayers can take actions in IMS even after 2B generation and regenerate it if required (till filing of GSTR-3B).

3️⃣ Credit Note Handling (Effective Oct 2025)
βœ”οΈ Recipients can keep a Credit Note pending for a certain period if not yet finalized.
βœ”οΈ On acceptance, they can adjust ITC manually, only for the amount availed earlier β€” giving flexibility & accuracy.

βœ… *Key to remember*:
No change in ITC auto-population or GSTR filing.

πŸ“’ FOR DEDUCTORS / COLLECTORS – IMPORTANT UPDATE

πŸ—“οΈ As per the new Income Tax Act, 2025 (effective 1 April 2026):

The old Income Tax Act, 1961 will stand repealed.

Under Section 397(3)(f), deductors/collectors can now file TDS/TCS correction statements within 2 years from the end of the relevant tax year.

πŸ’‘ Earlier: No fixed long-term window for corrections.
πŸ†• Now: Clear 2-year timeline = more flexibility, but also responsibility to update filings promptly.

πŸ” Action Point:
All deductors, collectors, and accountants should note the revised timeline and plan corrections accordingly.
