As on 26th July - Companies that are above 1000 crore market capitalization (excluding Financial) posted median sales growth of 31% YoY & median profit growth of 18% YoY. A strong 31% growth is aided by a favourable base quarter which was impacted by deadly covid second wave. However, profitability growth did not catch up to revenue growth led by the sharp spike in inflation. However, commodity cost are declining & hence profitability growth is set to pick up pace from second half of FY23.
