From the 1st October 2026, new Right to Work requirements apply to businesses that employ staff and engage self-employed operatives.
The update highlights the importance of completing the appropriate right to work checks before a person starts work with you, with non-compliance potentially carrying fines of up to £60,000 per person.
If your business works with self-employed people or subcontractors, make sure you're aware of the new requirements and have the right processes in place.
At Hunter Gee Holroyd, we're here to make complex business changes easier to understand.
