We did it. Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Again. For Hellohope✨
Saturday 4th July 2026 marked my 2nd Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
Last year was my maiden attempt. This year, the challenge was completely different.
We went into it worried about a heatwave. Instead we got hit with high winds, driving rain, and ground so slippery it tested every step. 24 miles. 3 peaks. 5,200ft of ascent. In those conditions it was brutal.
But we finished. And we finished for a reason.
Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK takes their own life. The pressures people are under right now are real. That’s why we walked for Hellohope - the su***de prevention charity founded by Ellie McDonald, with incredible support from Paul Christian Waterworth.
Hellohope don’t sit behind desks. They go out into communities, start the hard conversations, and shine a light on how to find balance before it’s too late. They’re 100% donation funded, and they save lives because of it.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your support kept us going up Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in that weather.
To Paul, Andrew Taylor, and Ellie - what a team effort. I still can’t believe we got it done in those conditions. Proud to do this with you.
