PIMCO's insights on bonds was game-changing:
💡 Bonds: A lifetime opportunity
- Lock in highest yields in 10 years

A changed world:
🌐 Governments' limited financial resources due to debt loads amplifies risks, increasing a reliance on central banks to fix issues

✨ Half Term's here! A time for family fun and reflection 😊.

School breaks are a great reminder of why I work hard and do what I do – to make a difference for my clients and build a rewarding business that aligns with my values.

In financial advice, it's all about people and relationships. Networking, in my opinion, is critical to building a successful business, and I am passionate about expanding my reach. Word-of-mouth and personal connections can and often make all the difference.

Over the last couple of months, I've been very busy:
1. Attended the fsb_uk FSB Connect event at Durham University Business School
2. Personal Finance Society (PFS) roadshow in Newcastle
3. York Knights RLFC business hub events, including YO1 Radio and roxyballroom

It’s been great catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones, including Jeffrey Hughes Helen Prentice, Katy Scott, and Sue Boyd 😊. Always energising to catch up and share stories.

On a personal note, we celebrated my wife's 40th in January 😊. Here's to new chapters and making memories.

As we settle into the final stretch of 2025, I'm reflecting on the progress we have made assisting clients and I am planning for an even busier year ahead. November is normally a pivotal month for my clients with thoughts firmly on the year ahead, but this year it has more riding on it due to the Chancellor's upcoming budget announcement.

Key Concerns for my Clients:
- Persistent Inflation: Managing its effects on long-term planning
- Increases in Business & Personal Taxes: Understanding the impact on finances
- Pension Tax Relief: Preparing for potential future changes and their impact on retirement plans
- Global Economic Uncertainty: Navigating the AI bubble and its implications
- Economic Outlook: Staying informed about the UK and global economy

Business Update
On the growth front, I'm excited about the new partnerships I’m forming through BNI Endeavour, which will help accelerate growth, expand our reach, and enable us to serve more clients. I've learned first hand that networking and building relationships are key to success.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge Done! 🗻💪🏾

I am thrilled to have completed the 24 mile course, conquering the iconic peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough, and Pen-y-Ghent. The early 6:30am start and 4:20pm finish made for an exhilarating day.

A huge thank you to everyone who generously donated to the Astro Brain Tumour fund in support of my challenge. Your contributions will help make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumours. 🙏

A cooking masterclass!

Today, I had the pleasure of attending an Italian cooking class at The Grand, York courtesy of their generous invitation. What struck me most was the level of expertise and attention to detail which goes into professional cooking - it was truly eye-opening! As someone often dubbed ‘Mr Spag-bol’ at home for my limited culinary repertoire 🙂, this was a fantastic opportunity to expand my skills.

Chef Marc Williams led the class with remarkable knowledge and patience, guiding us through techniques I hadn’t mastered in my own kitchen. I walked away with many cooking skills I’m eager to apply, from precise chopping to balancing flavours.

The experience reinforced a key professional lesson: the immense value of learning from mentors and experts in any field. We often think we are self-sufficient, but growth comes from embracing opportunities to learn from those with more experience. Whether in cooking, business, or other pursuits, seeking guidance can help us avoid pitfalls and accelerate progress.

Special thanks to Antoine Echassoux for arranging everything, the introductions and for making this a wonderful experience.

We LOVE August as a family - it’s all about excitement, relaxation and reflection! 🥳😎🤔

Holidays are amazing for our wellbeing AND a boost for productivity too! ☀️ Just before school’s back, we squeezed in an awesome trip to Seaview, Isle of Wight for the annual regatta 🌊! We soaked up the village charm, coastal scenery, sandy beaches 🏖️, and stunning views of the Solent 🌅. Summer evenings by the seaside are pure magic ✨. Seaview’s one of the best in the UK for water activities 🏊‍♀️, coastal paths 🚶‍♂️‍➡️, and vibes 🎉. Now we are back home reconnecting with loves ones 💕, still buzzing from our holiday! And I ‘m back at work full of energy & new ideas 💡.

Our summer of two halves!

After a momentary breather from social media to attend to family matters and concentrate on running the business, today I make a return.✍️

It’s roughly 16 months since Luwero Wealth Advisers was launched and the story so far, has been one of providing value, brand building and reaching new audiences. I am pleased to say the results are very encouraging despite some headwinds along the way. 📈

Balancing running a business and advising in one of the most regulated professions is a relentless undertaking, so a bit of family time was overdue.

As a family, we have been full of adventure this summer, we have done the typical travel abroad and in the UK. We have walked in the parks and woods, had a dip in the pool, walked on the sandy beaches, participated in beach sports, enjoyed a music festival, attended 2 weddings and tried all sorts of food. 🏊‍♂️🏖️💍

Watching the York Knights win a trophy at Wembley Stadium in late May was an exciting way to kick-off what has been a packed summer period. Virtually straight after the Knights victory, we set off for a special 2-week holiday in Uganda for my kids to explore their heritage. It was something I wanted to do for a long time so I am glad I got there in the end. Seeing the local cultural traditions mixed with influences from british colonial history was fascinating. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a care and generosity from my kids to those with less which I hadn’t seen before.🏉✈️🎁

In July, the family passed a couple of important milestones so we had a double celebration back here in the UK. Robyn my second born became 10 years old on the 21st and the 25th was our third wedding anniversary. The two milestones were adequately celebrated on the 27th with a day of sight seeing in York followed by watching the great performances at York Proms - we also got to keep tabs on the England women football team’s triumph at the Euros final on the day. York Proms is a must watch for anyone who hasn’t been - a truly fabulous family friendly production. Also in July, I met a friend’s new born for the first time which was a special moment.🎁💍👩‍🍼

It hasn’t quite been the complete switch off - there have also been some business networking activities right in the middle to maintain the momentum.🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🙌🏾

Life though is rarely straight forward and always throws us curveballs when we least expect. Right in the middle of our holidays, my father (Samuel Frederick Luwero) passed away and it has been a trying time. He was a remarkable man and his legacy of breaking down barriers lives on.

So, a mixed summer so far to say the least and a timely reminder that focussing on work is importantly but so is enjoying life to the full!
