Sonosphere, in association with TiMax Spatial, Martin Audio Ltdand Solid State Logic (SSL), presents The Binaural Human
Award winning engineer and Sonosphere Technical Director Phil Wright will explain how our binaural hearing has evolved and how it works, look at the history of recorded sound from the 1850s to the present day, including techniques utilised to invoke binaural cues and provide spatial information to the brain. Creator of TiMax panLab, Product & Software Manger, Daniel Higgott will talk about how TiMax leverages those binaural cues to provide real time, large scale sound reinforcement with accurate audio imaging, and the ability to manipulate those audio images. This will be followed by a demo on the difference between stereo and spatial audio with live sources, including vocals, tracked in real time by TiMax tracker.
Finally, Phil and Dan will be joined by TONY Nominee Sound designer Sebastian Frost for a panel discussion / Q&A, where he will talk about his extensive experience using TiMax.
