When we take on a new client or property portfolio, there's one issue that we see time and time again - through no fault of their own.

For a non-specialist accountant, it's an easy mistake to make, but can have significant consequences down the line.

Service charge assets and liabilities are separate from statutory company assets and liabilities and should not be confused. We often see service charge assets and liabilities appearing in statutory company accounts which is incorrect and needs to be fixed. Such errors can lead to:

Big changes are coming to Companies House filing. Are you ready?
