What a fantastic day our team had at the Royal Highland Show!

While the weather certainly tested everyone's waterproofs (and spirits!), Ralph, Paul, Sandra and Elaine were well prepared with their bright yellow Benson umbrellas and enjoyed a brilliant day catching up with clients, meeting new contacts and taking in everything the show had to offer.

Since expanding into the area, we've received such a warm welcome from both our clients and the wider business community. It was great to be part of such a fantastic event, putting faces to names, strengthening existing relationships and building new connections within the agricultural community.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to stop and chat with us – we look forward to seeing you again soon!

What a day Saturday turned out to be at the Cumberland Show!

Despite the all day threat, the rain thankfully held off and the showground stayed busy throughout the day.

Thank you to all of our friends, clients and colleagues for stopping by our stand; it was great to see so many familiar faces and make some new connections too. If you stopped hoping to catch Paul, chances are you missed him! As President of the Show, he was busy carrying out his duties across the showground from start to finish.

A huge thank you to our team, who worked incredibly hard all day and helped make it such a success. And an even bigger well done to the entire team - it was a fantastic set up and a truly great day.

This Sunday, our Client Manager Elaine will be attending the Fundraiser at St. Johnstone Football Club's McDiarmid Park in support of RSABI.

As a firm with strong agricultural roots, supporting the farming community has always been important to us. Agriculture is at the heart of so many local businesses, families and communities, and organisations like RSABI provide invaluable support to people working within the industry when they need it most.

We're proud to be sponsoring this fantastic event and helping to support a cause that makes a real difference across rural Scotland. It's also a great opportunity to connect with others in the agricultural community and continue building relationships in an area that has welcomed us so warmly.

A huge well done to everyone involved in organising the day, and we look forward to seeing so many familiar and new faces there.

The countdown is on – we'll be at The Cumberland Show this Saturday!

Our team will be on hand throughout the day at our trade stand, so whether you'd like to talk business, catch up over a cuppa, or simply take a break from exploring the showfield, we'd love to see you.

This year's show is extra special for us as our very own Paul Benson is serving as President of the The Cumberland Show. While he may not be spending as much time on the stand as usual, he'll be representing the Show around the showfield and taking part in the day's events.

We look forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces and enjoying another fantastic celebration of Cumbrian agriculture and rural life.

May has certainly been a busy month for the team at Benson Accountants 👏 Over the past few weeks we’ve:

📍 Hosted a client training session in our offices on Sum-It

📍 Brought both offices together for a dedicated team training day at Wigton Market-Hall with Hamilton Training Services
📍 Proudly supported the Northern District Field Day as main sponsors
📍 Taken part in Carlisle College Dragon’s Den event with local business students
📍 Spotted Client Manager Ralph proudly debuting his new Benson’s gilet while walking the fields at the Ayrshire Cattle Society AGM weekend 🐄

From supporting clients and investing in our team, to getting involved in community and industry events, it’s been a fantastic month all round.

Needless to say its 'over and out' for May, but the question is, what will June bring? We suspect a few agricultural shows may be involved!

A couple of weeks ago, we closed both our offices and brought the whole team together for a dedicated training day.

A special thank you to Craig from Hamilton Training Services, who delivered a fantastic training session, which was engaging, insightful and full of practical takeaways for the whole team.

It was brilliant to have everyone together, with team members travelling down from Perthshire and surrounding areas to join us for the day. A huge thank you to Wigton Market-Hall and their team for the excellent hospitality and facilities - they looked after us incredibly well from start to finish.
