Just had a concerning realisation…
While reading HMRC guidance on work expense claims, I noticed that government services are increasingly relying on AI tools. 🤖
At the same time, we are seeing redundancies across civil service roles, while taxes continue to rise for both businesses and individuals. It raises an important question… are we paying more while receiving less human support?
Efficiency and technology have their place, but tax and compliance often require real conversations, professional judgement, and human understanding - things automation cannot replace.
Technology should support people, not quietly replace them.
