The Help to Buy ISA, which is a government savings account aimed at first-time buyers, closes to new applications on 30th November 2019.

With a Help to Buy ISA, you can save up to £1,200 in the first month and then up to £200 a month after that. The government will top up any contributions you make by 25%, up to the contribution limit of £12,000. So, for every £200 you save, the government will contribute £50. This means you can earn a maximum bonus of £3,000 from the government.

You don’t have to take a mortgage out with the provider you opened your Help to Buy ISA with. So, it’s worth going for the best rate available.

It is important to note that you can’t open a Help to Buy ISA and a normal Cash ISA in the same tax year.

Nest has undertaken a root and branch review of its systems after being hit by a £1.4m fraud last year.

Nest chairman Lawrence Churchill says the fraud related to a supplier of services to Nest Corporation, the trustee body that runs Nest.

MFS Limited is looking for an Office Administrator to provide maternity cover on a fixed term contract of nine months, commencing in September 2013.

MFS Limited provides bespoke and independent financial planning advice to private individuals and companies. We offer a wide range of specialist services that include advice on investment, inheritance tax planning, life assurance, general insurance, mortgages as well as all types of pension schemes.

The successful candidate will join our dedicated, and very friendly, small team of support staff who maintain the standards that have built our excellent reputation.

The successful candidate will complete a diverse range of tasks including completing research and reports, producing company documentation, income reconciliation, dealing with client enquiries and supporting the advisers of MFS Limited.
