If you’re an employer, make sure you’re paying your staff at least the minimum wage for their age range.

If you’re planning on using a new accountant then get the ball rolling ASAP! It can take some time for HMRC to authorise your new accountant as your tax agent.

🍋 TIP TUESDAY 🍋

This week is all about taxes! Everyone’s fave subject 😉 so, let’s get prepared! Set up your reminders and direct debits and avoid any late payment fines!

Then, make sure you’re putting away enough money each month to cover any tax due at year end, January can be tight as it is without worrying about paying your self assessment too!

Paperless and compliant? It’s definitely possible.

Start by scanning copies of paper documents as and when they arrive, ask suppliers to provide invoices by email and save them electronically.

Are you printing out invoices just to store it in a paper file for 7 years? Save the planet and save on storage fees!

You may want to consider cloud based storage and a scanning app for your phone to speed things up.
