The chancellor announced the approved mileage rate allowance has increased from
45p to 55p per mile. This is being backdated to 6 April 2026 and applies to cars and vans.

This is the first time the rate has increased since 2011! The increase in the approved mileage rate is due to growing pressure due to rising fuel and motor
insurance prices.

We’re pleased to be attending the Medway Business and Skills Showcase at No.1 Smithery, Chatham Dockyard on Thursday (4 June) from 10am to 3pm.
