Our next introduction is a new face you may have already seen on your screens… it’s Niamh, our Accounts Apprentice.

Niamh joined us earlier this year and has absolutely hit the ground running. She supports the accounts and admin teams, and has already started working on tax returns. She’s an absolutely asset to our team!

A bit more about Niamh

What she does:
✔️ Supporting the admin team
✔️ Shadowing the accountants & payroll team, starting to support with the work
✔️ Keeping on top of the post!

Don’t ask her about:
✖️ Anything arty! She’ll tell you herself that even her stickmen aren’t great 😄

When she’s out of the office (Fridays, thanks to Whyfield’s 4-day work week), you’ll find her:
🧘 In the pilates studio
🏊 Swimming
🚶 Out for a walk
🍽️ Going out to eat with friends
✈️ Planning her next holiday

2026 goal: To be as tanned as possible. A recent trip to Thailand has given her a head start. ☀️

Keys collected 🗝️ Coffees secured ☕ Next chapter, new space! 🍊

Introducing The Annexe, our first satellite space, tucked close to the coast (and closer to home for a few of our Whyfielders), with room for up to four of us to focus.

This little space is the beginning of something we’re really excited about… more of these!

We plan to dot a collection of spaces around Cornwall, offering shorter journeys, less fuel consumed, quiet spaces, yet still connecting the team and giving them everything they need to do their work.

We’ve always believed that great work doesn’t have to look one way. We’ve been a four-day week practice for over four years, and we support working from home when life calls for it. And now, this space (soon to be spaces 🤞) adds another dimension.

So, here’s a cheesy little behind-the-scenes, ‘day in the life’ style where we introduce you to the calm little space that we’re also calling home, alongside Whyfield HQ in Threemilestone. With thanks to Laura and Rox for spending their evenings getting this space ready, and tackling the flat-pack furniture together! Not for the faint of heart 😅

Where next? Watch this space.

Do you love payroll?
We’d LOVE to hear from you!

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team 🥰
And yes, it comes with our famous four-day week.
Think bank holiday weekend, every weekend! (Or a mid-week rest, we love those too!)

We want to hear from a brilliant someone who:
⭐ Has a least two years’ experience in an accountancy practice
⭐ Loves talking to clients and building relationships
⭐ Is proactive, positive, and a genuine team player
(And lots of other goodness, of course, but more on that in the full job description).

This is a permanent role, but we’re open to part-time, too.

Apply via our simple careers form, no lengthy cover letter needed, just a few questions to help us get to know you. Find all you need via the link in the comments ⬇️

Closing date is 12th June
(And we’ll be interviewing as we go).

Can’t wait to hear from you!
- Team Whyfield

PS If this isn’t for you, but know someone who'd be perfect, we’d love it if you could share this with them. Thank you 🫶

Introducing the person behind these posts… and the one who has absolutely been overthinking her own 😅
Meet Megan, our Head of Brand!

Megan is the creative behind everything you see from Whyfield: words, imagery, video! If it looks good and sounds like us, there’s a good chance it was her doing (with brand foundations created by the outstanding team at Friends)

A bit more about Megan 👇

What she does:
✔️ Bringing the Whyfield brand to life
✔️ Marketing metrics
✔️ Doing her best to make accounting make sense!

Don’t ask her about: ✖️ The actual accounting bit

When she’s out of the office (Mondays, thanks to Whyfield’s 4-day work week), you’ll find her:
🌲 On a woodland walk
🛍️ Thrifting (a fancy term for riffling through charity shops and antiquing, usually for a cutesy trinkets)
🏊 Sea swimming
✏️ Doodling
📚 Working through the ever-growing reading pile, watchlist, and travel plans simultaneously

2026 goal: Become a more confident Spanish speaker… which is becoming increasingly urgent, because she’s just secured tickets to see Bad Bunny at the end of June with Charlie! Así que mejor ponerse a practicar🐰🎶

Her soundtrack right now: always a bit of everything, but Bad Bunny feels fitting for this post (It had to be. Current hyperfocus.): BAILE INoLVIDABLE
