Owen has officially been part of ChadStone for 9 years 🎉

Which is lovely, impressive and also slightly alarming, because we’re not entirely sure how that much time has passed!

In those 9 years, Owen has grown massively within the team and we’re so proud of him 👏

He is now one of our Client Managers, looking after a number of clients without Dave or Al being involved at all.

He’s calm, reliable, brilliant with clients and a massive part of the ChadStone team. Our clients love him and our team is so grateful for him 🙌

So, O, thank you for everything you bring to ChadStone.

You’re smashing it, and we’ll try to say it out loud more often, even if it makes us all feel deeply British and uncomfortable 😅

We warned you our team would keep doing different things in order to raise enough money for Severn Hospice 😂🦈

This time it was Al and Charl doing a shark dive for Al’s 40th birthday (yes, he’s still milking that celebration 😉)

And they both said it was one of the best things they have ever done!

So please, for the safety of our team, donate to Severn Hospice 😅

Our whole team is doing a 40ft dragon boat race in July to raise money for the Severn Hospice.

They are a brilliant local charity that provides free care and support to people living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales.

If you can spare anything at all (even if everyone donated £1 each it would make a huge difference!), we would really appreciate it!

Before June starts, do this one quick money check 👀

We mean 15 minutes with your numbers and a brew.

Check:

💷 What actually came in
📩 What’s still owed to you
📉 What went out, including those sneaky “small” costs
👛 What needs setting aside for tax, wages or bills
📊 Whether the month was profitable, not just busy

Because “we had a good month” and “we made good money” are not always the same thing.

Once you’ve done that, this month’s blog goes into how to build a simple finance system that means you always know what is going on 🙌

One director is doing a triathlon and another walked 50km around Bath in preparation for this 😅

Dave and Al have both been taking on their own challenges recently, all while we get ready for the Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Festival.

So even though their challenges aren’t specific training for a 40ft dragon boat, we figured it all helps 😃

We’re raising money for Severn Hospice, a brilliant local charity that provides free care and support to people living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales.

And they have to raise £2 for every £3 they spend, which is why events like this matter so much.

So, we will all be getting in the boat in July and our directors are going to keep doing crazy things, all in the hope of raising as much money as possible for this amazing charity 💪

This month marks 10 years since Dave joined the business, and what a 10 years it has been 🙌

Over the years, he’s played a huge part in helping ChadStone grow into the business it is today. Including becoming a director and co-owner 3 years ago alongside Al 🤝

He’s steady, thoughtful, funny, committed, and always up for finding a way to make things better for our clients, our team, and the wider community.

He’s also usually behind things like charity boat races, team challenges, 50km walks, and the occasional questionable Christmas character…

So if there’s madness, Dave has probably had a hand in it 😂

Happy 10 years, Dave.

This week we celebrated turning 12 🥳

On 6th May 2014, ChadStone opened its doors with Al and Rob, one desk between them, no clients, and a lot of unknowns.

Fast forward 12 years, and we’ve grown into a team of 11, we’re in our own office which we love, and we’ve built a firm we are incredibly proud of 🙌

Along the way, Rob has retired, Dave has joined Al as director and co-owner, and ChadStone has grown into exactly the kind of firm it always set out to be.

A fresh perspective for your accountancy needs and business success. A place where clients feel genuinely supported, more confident in their numbers, and more in control of their business. The sort of place people actually enjoy coming to for a coffee, a chat, and advice from people they trust ☕

That is the bit we are most grateful for!

To our team, thank you for everything you bring.

We need your help, please everyone…

We have somehow agreed to our entire team getting into a 40ft dragon boat and racing down the River Severn… 😱

Thankfully, it is all for a brilliant cause. We’re doing it to raise money for the wonderful Severn Hospice .

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness. Their care is provided free of charge, but it is not without cost. They need to raise £2 for every £3 they spend.

So, if we can raise £1,500 through this challenge, that could help Severn Hospice provide £2,250 worth of specialist care and support for local families who need it most 🙌

On behalf of the entire ChadStone team, we have something very important to say to Molly...

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS, MOL 👏

Mol started her career at ChadStone straight from sixth form.

Since then, she has worked tirelessly over the last 6.5 years, balancing full-time work, college, and a massive 25 exams to get through AAT and ACCA!

And, as of yesterday, Molly can officially say she is ACCA qualified 🥳 🙌

Massive congratulations, Mol. We are so proud of you, so grateful for all you do, and amazed by how hard you have worked.

Here’s to you, from all of us here at ChadStone. You did it!!!🥂🥂
