This comes up a lot with hair and beauty businesses.

You can be fully booked, working hard and doing everything “right”…
and still not paying yourself consistently.

Usually, it comes back to pricing.

Because your prices need to cover:

your time,
your products,
your overheads,
your tax,
and your pay.

Your own income should not be the last thing that gets looked at.
It matters just as much as the other business costs.

If you’re constantly taking “whatever is left”, it may be time to look at the numbers a bit differently.

“Sales are coming in… so why does the bank balance still feel rubbish?”

Usually, it’s not one massive problem.
It’s a mix of timing, pricing, tax, stock, late payments and money quietly going out in the background.

And honestly - It’s very common.

If cash feels tighter than it should, it doesn’t mean you’re bad at business.
It usually means the numbers need a clearer look.
